Biblical Counseling

In Christ, there is hope for our hurts, habits, and hangups

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” - Romans 15:13

The Importance of Biblical Counseling

We often find ourselves struggling in our lives. Maybe we are angry, depressed, lonely, or unsure of what we are meant to do. The Bible tells us that the source of our issues is our sinful nature, and it wages a war inside of us.

So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. - Romans 7:17

God hasn’t left us alone to suffer, though. The Bible offers a solution to our problems, and it is through a transformation from our sinful nature to a new nature by the Spirit of God. That transformation is what happens when we accept Christ as our Savior.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Once we have accepted that the root of our problems is our sinful nature and believe that Jesus has saved us from that nature, the Bible instructs us on how to work on the symptoms of our problems. It is through God’s principles and teachings that guide us to victory over the struggles of life.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. - Psalm 119:9
